9.28.09 The All City Showdown video is definitely in the making, all the tapes are logged and are being judged. Make sure you check allcityshowdown.com for the upcoming premiere date 9.27.09 Little tricky gets owned... 8.29.09 See you at the SKATEBALLS video premiere!! 7.21.09 Sooooo here's our video entry for the FTC 7x7 video contest!! We drove down to SF and crewed up with some rippers like David Gravette, Vince del Valle, Matt Gottwig, and friends. The video was filmed on Go Skateboarding day 6/21/09. Isn't it go skateboarding day everyday?? 7.20.09 Daaaaang it's definitely been awhile since we've updated! We've been busy as ever trying to wrap up the Sasquatch video. Skate trips and late night edits have steered me away from this bloggggggggn' thing.
Long story short, we've taken a few trips this past month. One out to Pullman where we visited our good friend Josh Gunnersen. We stopped at the Yakima park on the way there and skated for awhile. That park is so much fun, check it out if you ever get the chance. When we had finally made it to Pullman, it was a definitely a great time, aside from Josh rolling the shiiiit out of his ankle at the 1st spot. Get well soon maan!!! Ended up at a WSU party, waaack!! You can check out all the photos from the trip HERE!!!!!!
Another trip we went on was to San Francisco!! We rented a van and were set off to make it to SF in a few days. We had stopped in Portland where we skated some spots and the new skate plaza. We kept on going south where we took a swimmin' break in Lake Shasta.
Peter Starrs shoes were lookin' pretty beat at this point...
We arrived into San Jose late Saturday night to make the premiere of the new Black Label video "God Save the Label" The video was dooooope, it'll be in stores at the first of August. Make sure to peep it!!!
We had finally made it to SF where we skated in FTC's 7x7 contest. It was basically like Seattle's annual "All City Showdown" contest. Except we only had 7 hours and 7 spots to come up with the best footage. The format was 1 filmer (this really cool dude named Brandon Jensen) and 3 skaters to each team. We had David Gravette, Vince del Valle, and Matt Gottwig. The video turned out pretty sick, these guys killed it. I'll post the video later tonight so check back! You can check out all the photos from the SF trip HERE!!!!
Alright well that's it for now! PEACE 6.12.09 A new trailer for the Beware of Sasquatch video!!! 6.11.09 Vince has been getting sky high and getting into head-on collisions lately.
5.23.09 GHOST RIDE THE HANDRAIL!! 5.22.09 Innerspace video premiere date!! 5.19.09 For those of you who have been wondering where our good friend Andy Tomich has been, well I'm here to inform you that he's been skating the most butteriest spots imaginable in France. Having been gone for nearly a month now, Andy has been full-filling every skateboarders dream.
He's staying with our Frenchman homie Luigi in Lyon and has been getting coverage and meeting great people. Check out a sequence he recently got on ledge in Lyon. Keep in touch Andy, we all miss you!! (Vous nous manquez!!!) 5.15.09 Thanks to all those who came out to Shoreline skate park last Friday. North End skate shop hosted a best trick. Actually, best nollie half cab flip, KFbsTS, and best 360 flip. The winners got a free pair of the newly released Stefan Janoski's and a Beware of Sasquatch NE board. Peep the video to see what went down!! 5.13.09 Had fun at the Marysville best trick contest the other day, thanks to North End skate shop for making it all possible and to those who came out!!! 5.3.09 So I just got back from spending the week in Portland with the creature features; David Gravette & Devin Appelo. David and I drove down and met up with Devin and stayed at his and Willis Kimbel's place. There apartment was so close to Burnside park you could actually look out the window and see who was skating. Burnside always happily greets anyone who comes through.
After spending a full rainy day at Burnside, we met up with photog legend Joe Brooks. We cruised around in his van which made me feel more proud to be American than ever. Riding shot gun was Chet "Luda Crooks" Childress. Every spot we'd skate he'd usually bust out his sidewalk chalk and go to town. Luda Crooks art: "Riders on the storm" "Shadow Luda Crooks" "Big Blue in Portland"
Devin's brother Taylor Appelo also had his way with the chalk; BEWARE OF CHICKEN WING GUY!
What else went down on this trip... Oh we lit up the Glennhaven bowl, that was a hoot. I don't think the baby bird was feelin' it though. Made a few spots skateable, so now you can go get your shred on!
One of the best things about Portland is the fact that you can skate around the streets and see signs like these. God bless Portland...
peace I'm out. 4.24.09 NEW "BEWARE OF SASQUATCH" NORTH END DECKS!! Come to North End and pick one up, they're going fast! 4.24.09 David Gravette has been in town and has been shreddin' the gnar like always. It's always a great time watching David skate, he crushes around and hits anything that gets in his way. With the occasional hard slams he takes, it's all for a good time. He'll be leaving us again real soon, so make sure you say your hello's when you see him 4.23.09 Homeboy got OWNED while we were skating Garfield awhile ago 4.20.09 Dan Ching lurks at Woodinvile skate park 4.15.09 So here's what really went down on our trip to California (for those who are even interested)
We left way too early on Wednesday the 1st and found ourselves underneath the Burnside bridge. Had it not been pouring rain we definitely would have been skating Portland's buttery spots. Instead, after warming up at Burnside we were fortunate enough to go to the Nike TF. Where Luda Crooks opened the doors for us and let us draw all over the walls. Chet Childress is the man, such a nice dude. It was tight getting to see original art work by "NECK FACE" (look for the lurking Bigfoot)
Over the hills and through the Sasquatch infested woods, to Vince's G-mas house we went. Waking up to the sound of roosters and freshly brewed coffee made us happy as ever. Unfortunately we had to leave, pit stopping and meeting Kens Indian brother was also a memorable good time. "Hey Indian brother, spare some change?"
2 hours after we left G-mas house, we were already itching to stretch our legs and skate. We decided to stop at Methford I mean "Medford" skate park. (Last time I was there, some meth-rider stole my cell phone. Shitty right?) Ken set up a freshy right quick, did you notice all the hanging boards in the tree? 5 minutes into cruising around, Sean Harris poked a mean bsSmither later noticing he had a hipper the size of a soft ball. See for yourself, here's a closer look haha
On the road again! We did some sight-seeing and checked out a few spots and skate parks along the way. Ken swooped up a new I.D. while Sean Harris chugged his MiraLax. Pee breaks and meadow photo shoots kept us busy enough. Stopping at spots from time to time.
I think driving is much better than flying, just cause you get to witness more on the road. You know what I mean? You feel alive when you have to brush your teeth on the side of the road, driving at excessive speeds dodging the occasional highway sharks. After awhile the car smelt like a junior high locker room, so we went through a few trusty NE air fresheners.
We finally had made to the LA area and were able to visit the RVCA warehouse, where we skated there buttery mini ramp. Cory was snapping his usual flip tricks around the thing while the others chaaaaarged the corner pockets. Thanks RVCA for letting us skate your fun ramp. I think everyone but Sean was feeling the heat.
One night in San Jose we kicked it at this dudes house who we had met named Sean. We found out that he had recently gotten a tattoo gun which meant we were all bound to get tattoos before leaving his house. Sure enough, I volunteered to go first and got a Sasquatch tattoo! Next up was Sean Harris, he got a Sasquatch as well! He also got "Diamond Dogs" on his ribs. You'll have to ask him yourself for the meaning behind that one. Peter Raffin was next in line. He wanted the Black Label flame on his middle finger. Shit was tight! The award for the most tattoos in one night went to Vince del Valle. No joke, he got a Black Label flame on his finger with Peter, a pentagram covering his heart, pura vida (the good life) on his chest, and a pinky ring tattoo. All in all, that was a great night getting free tattoos and I encourage anyone that comes through San Jose to get one from Sean the tattooist. Thanks again homie.
Throughout the trip Vince kept offering gum to whoever. Little did they know they'd get shocked every time they'd grab a piece. Our crew was there for Sean when his board punched him in the face. We were skating a handrail when Sean landed wrong on his board, shooting it into his face. Get well soon braaaa.
One spot we skated while we were in Long Beach was the infamous kicker over the water gap. Sean scoped it out and tried to make the jump but ended up drowning his board, better luck next time?! Another spot we skated had caution signs all over the place stating that mosquitos in the area were confirmed to have the "West Nile Virus" WTF right??
4.11.09 Sorry for the lack of updates lately! I just got back from a 2 week road trip to LA and was without internet most of the time.
As always we definitely had a lot of fun! I drove and had Vince del Valle, Sean Harris, & Ken Takayama as wing men. We made it to LA and immediately met up with the winner of The Berrics "bang yo' self" contest Cory Kennedy.
Congratulations Cory, if for some reason you haven't seen his winning part, I recommend you do by clicking this!
I'll post photos and videos from our trip here shortly. For now you can check 'em all out in this album!
3.26.09 Vince & Mike reeled up a biggin' the other day!
3.25.09 Beware David Beckham, Dan Ching might just be better at soccer than you
Off the NOSE... 3.25.09 MERRITT GETS EPICLY OWNED! 3.24.09 DAN CHING GETS OWNED BY DOG AT SHORELINE PARK! 3.23.09 This non-stop rain has been putting a damper on things. Undercover spots don't exist so we've been stuck in the shack lately. Andy, Ken, & Dan have been gettin jiggy wit it.
Ken gets HANGTIME! nuff said... 3.22.09 There was another Bigfoot sighting in Fremont the other day 3.20.09 I got a new truck today, check it out!
Shane is our full-time slave these days. No I'm kidding, I love you Shane...
Mike tests the waters on a death defying gap to manual pad 3.19.09 How many 360 flips do you think Andy can do in a row?
Dan & Andy get jiggy for the hyphee cam 3.19.09 Dan had to settle with riding in the back of Merritts truck the other day. I figured something odd would probably happen...
We had a tre-flip party the other day. That was a hoot! 3.18.09 Ken is one of dudes who just looks comfortable on a skateboard. Whether it's warming up at a spot or cruising down the street. 3.18.09 Mike Lind never gets caught slippin, even when he's under pressure
3.16.09 Dan & Vince have been killin' it in the streets lately. Just thought I'd let you know... Oh and Ken too, how could I forget?
Our good friend Cody Kubu moved back home from being in AZ the past few months. Good to have you back man, don't ever do that again... 3.12.09 Josh Gunnersen keeps it fresh in his white kicks. 3.11.09 Kens drawings have been pretty fierce lately... Oh yeah, his board art too
3.11.09 Beware of Sasquatch, for he will find his way to ruin your grip tape!
Don't be so quick to judge Mike Lind in not having any money... He'll always put on a front (almost like a mask) like he never has money. Ask him for money the next time you see him, he'll probably hook you up with a 20. What eeiz Mike. The power of the internet! 3.11.09 Vince isn't so hyped on being back to the Arctic.
3.11.09 NO MORE SNOW!! With all of this off and on snow that's been blasting us, we've been trying to take advantage of the nice days by waking up unusually early.
So with all of this snow crapping on us, what else could you do other than skate an under cover mini ramp or film a Bigfoot? We definitely got down on the mini ramp then had fun with the Bigfoot snow shoot. We even collaborated the two. 3.10.09 Sorry everyone, definitely have been slacking on the whole updating thing lately! A lot has happened since the last one. I guess I'll just try and piece it all together. With Vince being moved back, we've been hangin with him a lot. Always fun to watch him warm-up wherever, Mike and Smotag mos def agree!
It's always an accomplishment landing a train of kickflips!
Dan charges through the kink 3.6.09 Send me pictures of your Sasquatch sticker sightings. Help us make Sasquatch lurk everywhere..! 3.6.09 Wake up Mike! It's time to go skaaate. You can always count on Josh Gunnersen to prep the spot before anybody tests the waters.
Lofty kickflips are definitely "in" these days... 3.5.09 Wow, Dan definitely escaped death yesterday... 3.5.09
Vince is back in town!! Not on a trip but for good! Yup that's right, he moved back and will be here at least through Summer. So make sure you give him a huge welcoming back hug when you see him at Shoreline park
3.4.09
We've been having to make too many important decisions lately... How did I know you'd pick these...
We left Gasworks with a new homie and raved all the way to the next spot. How can you drive slow with techno music playing? Cory definitely can't!
2.24.09
Thanks to everyone who came out to the North End BBQ & Best Trick the other day at Shoreline park!
2.23.09
Finally finished up our "Weekend in Portland" edit! A few weeks ago, a few North End and 35th riders crammed into a van and all barged down to Portland for the weekend. We skated Battleground skate park and a few spots along the way. We were also fortunate to have skated the private Nike park in Portland. All in all, it was a great trip! Thanks again Tony. Oh by the way, I had to put it on youtube in 2 parts cause it had exceeded 10minutes. Make sure ya peep the whole thang
2.20.09
Today is Ken's first try Friday! Do you think he'll be able to land barley grind on the big rail at Shoreline??I'm thinking so...
2.20.09
Be sure to make it out to Shoreline park tomorrow on Saturday the 21st around 1pm. North End will be hosting "Hammers & Hot dogs!" There will be best tricks, product tosses, and hot wieners! See you there!
Our routine these days has just been warming up at Shoreline then hitting the streets. Southenders like Sean Harris and Andy Tomich have been in the mix.
2.15.09
Our homie Chirs YaniSTACK has been taking some pretty cool pictures lately of our sesh's. Here are a few:
Andy Tomich just booked his ticket for Europe! He'll be leaving us on 4-31-09 and will be returning on ?-?-? I might just have to pull the trigger and book my ticket real soon. Get there while you can right?
2.12.09
The night's aren't as cold so what better to do than this?
Ok so last night I went to the bar at the stroke of midnight to celebrate my 21st with my good friends Casey, Andy, Dan, and Merritt. Basically, I barely recollect anything past 2am... After consuming about 10 shots and 3 beers (thanks again guys!) I found myself in line at the plaid pantry buying snacks and water. The last thing I remember was feeling a sensation of having to puke. I handed my stuff off to Andy and somehow made it out of the store spraying the entry-way with my puke. All in all, I'll probably be hungover for the next few days and couldn't have asked for a better time turning 21!
2.9.09
Woo! Today is mine and Smotag's Birthday! Smotag turned a boring 20 years old while I turned the big 21. I'm actually a little scared to go to the bar tonight, I'm thinking that alcohol poisoning is in store for me...
2.8.09
Will someone please hook Mike Lind up with some new laces? His shoes are always soo beat it's disgusting.
2.7.09
Every time I plug in my digital camera to my computer, I usually come across a few videos or pictures that Ken Takayama takes. This is what I'm talking about.
Always roll deep with your homies, especially when your in an area like Garfield where half-wolverine men mess with you. There's always those old cool cats you run into from time to time though. Giving you life advice, looking back on the day when they used to skate and when they could bench press there own body weight. It's always a good day when you end it with eating chicken at Ezell's with the homies.
2.4.09
For some reason we've been bridge lurkin' a lot these days
2.3.09
Not to be the bearer of bad news, but our close homie Casey recently rolled the SHIT out of his ankle. Feel free to send your regards to him in the form of a grape swisher blunt. Get well soon man!
I'm sure you could've guessed that Ken Takayama was the first person in the state of Washington to buy Skate2. Yeah Ken!
Just got back from an eventful weekends stay in Portland. A bunch of North End and 35th riders crammed into a 15 passenger van and we all were on our way. Psycho Mike of course being our delightful driver.
As we pulled into downtown Portland it was dinner time so we went for Pho. Family-size style... Owen was feelin' it. After dinner we were fortunate to get into Portland's Nike TF. Smotag and I just lurked and were being lazy boyz. We had the whole park to ourselves drinking shmitty pops till 3am. By 4am we settled into our hotel room. I think Ken got the best spot.
The morning came and we found ourselves at a brand new skate plaza right outside of Portland. Despite the plaza not being completely finished, Ken managed to sneak in a quick 5050. Checked out some old, new, and even newer spots. Cory was pulling backside noseblunts on everything.
Before we knew it, it was dinner time again. Being Super Bowl Sunday and all, what better place to go than HOOTERS! We celebrated Cory's imaginary birthday and got the HOOTERS GIRLS to bring us beersin a pretty creative way.Anagallon was feelin' it! We partied the whole way back to Seattle somehow surviving. Thanks to Tony Croghan for making this all possible! Expect an edit soon of our wild weekend in Portland! Here's the album of the photos from the trip. Be sure to check out smotag's flickr to see the nice pics!
1.30.09
That's Alfaro, no wait that's Vince, no actually they're just identical twins!
1.29.09 Be sure to check out Josh Anderson's part from Manik's new video "World Fair" I think I speak for everyone when I say that this is one of the best video parts I've seen in a very long time. Congrats and keep up the good work Josh!
1.27.09
Definitely had a wild weekend in the Yallup! After making a pit stop at North End Dan, Ken, and I smashed out to do the Puyallup. We got to clubhouse and had a quick laugh running into Juice. The night was still young so we made our way to the park where we goofed around and broke boards.
After causing trouble at the park we were in search of something fun to do. Luckily we ended up at an actually fun partaaaaaaay! What's up Mike!?!?!? Mike always seems to find himself in the mix. Sean looked like he belonged in the band Ladytron. Garrett was steezy as ever while I as always was just looking like a fool!Devin and I were having camera wars the entire night. Crap I probably shouldn't have had that one more beer...
The next day was pretty rough filming-wise but started 'er off right meeting up with Sean Harris. We got a quick bite and were set out to skate and wound up warming up on a not-so-baby-sized rail. Ken did his thing while Sean and Dan were getting into double trouble. I could keep going and going with this update but let's just say the next spot we skated everyone got hammerz! Doo thaaaa Puyallup!
1.26.09 See if you can find Sasquatch in this picture! The first person to spot him out and email me at bjensen7@gmail.com with the correct answer will get some sweet stickers.
1.19.09 Alien's new video "Mind Field" is set to drop real real soon. Who wants to barge out to Vancouver, BC with me to catch the premiere?
1.15.09
Marginal way skate park is looking pretty buttery these days.
1.14.09 Having been in Long Beach this past week I've gotten used to 85 degree weather. Being back in Seattle is kind of rough. I forgot how cold it is here.
I wasn't going to let the cold weather get to me so I met up with Dan to try and film downtown. It was more funny than anything, we were dodging this one security guard all day. Merritt met up with us and managed to skate a spot for more than 20 minutes!
1.12.09
My last day in Long Beach, we drove up to the Anaheim area in search of backyard pools. Three months ago there was an awful fire that destroyed a lot of houses which left many of them with abandoned swimming pools.
We didn't have any luck finding a pool that wasn't full of water. We did however come across a pretty sweet double quarter pipe spot. Mumma got down while the paparazzi documented his every move.
There was time to skate one more spot before I had to catch my flight home. Alfaro snaps a kick flip while Mumma grinds the U. The sun was setting and I had to make it to the airport. As we hit LA's traffic, I started to feel a sense of relief like I was going to miss my flight and have to stay in Long Beach. Unfortunately, I made it on time... Thanks Vince and Garrett for showing me a good time!
1.10.09
Our plan was to wake up early and drive out to San Pedro to skate the park. Vince being the safe driver he is, made sure to pay attention to the road the entire time. "Holy shit is that a dead dude up in the power lines? He's ok!"
We rolled up to the park and it was nice dropping in and getting some salmon ice by 10am. Vince was gettin loose skating fun lines as usual.
We later drove down to San Diego to meet up with a cool dude named Peter Watkins. Soon after we were warming up a wolf pack of street bikers rolled up. Poppin wheelies almost losing control, it was pretty much just nerve wrecking to watch. Today was fun. Damn, I need to go to sleep. Goodnight.
Although he sesh was cut short because Vince's board decided to go swimming, it was still a deadly adventure.
1.8.09
Today we skated around the Signal Hill area. This was the setting for the movie "There will be Blood." I guess this hill was one of the richest oil spots in North America. Pretty interesting eh?! Watch the trailer for "There will be Bud." Hilarious.
Yesterday we skated a brand new secret ramp. I'm going to have to say that it was probably the best ramp that I've ever seen!
1.7.09
Vince and I left for Long Beach yesterday. On our flight Vince got his wine on while I made a little "outer innerspace" edit. Looking out the window it looked like we were in space with all the snow on the mountains. It's so great to be in the sun again, I don't know how much more snow I can handle. I'll probably be updating the site a lot while I'm down here so check back real soon.
1.6.09 The other day I skated this spot with Sean Harris. Unfortunately, on one of the attempts his board landed in a pile of dog POOP. It was smeared all over his wheel but didn't hold him back from getting his trick. Way to go Sean, that was disgusting.
1.5.08 We lit up Marginal's big quarter pipe and goofed around. King shralp was of of course just shralpin, Vince was pullin STIFFEES, Dan was either strikin a pose or slippin out. Good time for sure.
1.4.09 I hate it when this happens. Wouldn't you say so Dan?
1.2.08 It's good to see the sun shine in Seattle, it's been a while without and I'm starting to lose it.
1.1.09 Meeting up with Andy to skate in the mornings are always a good time. It's banger season.
12.31.08 After being snowed in the past few weeks, we've managed to make it out to Marginal Way. Other than that, I've been taking a lot of pictures of trees for some reason. Don't ask.
So last night I picked up Vince at the airport. Thankfully his flight was on-time with all of this snow craziness! Vince brought home some great stories and a sweet new tattoo.
12.20.08 The snow storm has brought in more surprises than we had expected, there was a bigfoot sighting near Seattle!
12.19.08 I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form "Come in," she said, "I'll give ya, shelter from the snow.
12.18.08 Merritt and I came across a Sasquatch in Westlake. See, he does exist...
12.16.08 You should definitely come to Innerspace tomorrow night from 6 till 9pm. North End skate shop is hosting a game of s.k.a.t.e and a power slide contest. Winner of the game of s.k.a.t.e will get $100. As for the power slide contest, winner will get a set of BONES wheels. Peep the flyer. See you there!
12.4.08 When night skating, don't let the rain keep you from skating a spot. If the landing and run way are wet, just use lights to dry the ground. Especially if you have the high hopes like Mike Lind. If you think it'd take a long time to dry, well your right...
11.19.08 Sooo Andy, Mike, and I got back from a trip to Long Beach the other day. Andy and I drove down with Vince and met up with Mike who happened to already be there.
We said our goodbyes as we left Seattle, and in no time we were already at Burnside. Witnessed a strange flock of birds and busted Andy digging for gold in the front seat. That was pretty funny...
Our first night we stayed at Vince's Grandma Blaze's farmhouse in Canyonville, Oregon. It was great waking up to breakfast and coffee, but had to keep driving.
We headed out and drove for about 13 hours finally making it to Long Beach by Sunrise. Had to hit up in-n-out and we were off to the first spot. Throughout our 2 week stay we got to skate a lot of fun spots like this one, this one, aaand this one. Oh yeah, who do you think would win in a foot race, Andy or Mike? Click this to find out.
Halfway through our stay, the Westin hotel fucked us over. Thankfully Garret took all of us in for a few nights. Thanks man, we owe ya. The last few days there was a wild fire just outside of LA. Couldn't even skate without getting ash in our eyes. Kinda weird. It came time to leave and Andy was definitely psyched to go back to Seattle.
Thanks Vince for putting up with us for 2 weeks and will be seeing you real real soon.
You can check out all the photos from the trip here.
10.23.08 Brice Neibor may have the coolest shifter nob out there.
10.21.08 The All City Showdown video is up and running! Go to AllCityShowdown.com to check it out
10.14.08 Remember in the movie 'Joe Dirt' when Joe discovers his lucky meteor? Well today that was the story for Mike Lind. Mike works at Marymoor park mowing lawns when one day he noticed that there was a crater in the middle of a field he mows everyday.
That night Mike happened to watch a show on meteors explaining how they hit the earth every 10 minutes. Apparently meteors are worth a lot of money and have been known to pay off houses and cars. You can imagine how hyped Mike is.
As he dug up his meteor, he was certain that he'd soon be rich. The crazy part about this is that I'm pretty sure he actually found it... Congrats on finding your lucky meteor Mike.
10.14.08
Here's a new teaser for the Beware of Sasquatch video
10.13.08
For those who couldn't make it out to the All City Showdown video premeiere last Saturday night (like Froberg) well, I'm sorry... But good news to Cory Kennedy for taking first place, Sean Harris right behind him, Mikey Burton taking the bronze medal, and Jordan Sanchez with fourth place.
Aside from cash prizes, product tosses, promos, people blacking out, people fighting for funny reasons, Jaeger, and finding pictures of yourself on the internet the next day that you're not too hyped on, it was a great time.
A huge thanks to Tony at 35th for making it all possible. Till next year, you can watch the full length video at AllCityShowdown.com
10.3.08
All City Showdown is premiering this Saturday on October 11th at 8pm! see you there
9.2.08 Ken went to war yesterday trying to kickflip an 8 stair on my 65mm wheeled filmer board. He gave shout-outs before every attempt which was just hilarious. It made us all anxious to hear what he was going to shout-out next. Anyways, just click this to watch ken handle it.
8.29.08 Sean Harris goofed around on my mini ramp the other day. Bite this you scum.
8.28.08 Thanks to Tony at 35th North for making this possible, Sean Harris and I are getting hyped for this Sunday's 3rd annual "all city showdown". Be sure to check out AllCityShowDown.com for all the details
8.25.08 So I stayed at Ando & Caesar's place in the yallup last week and pretty much had a damn fun time. Despite it raining about 3 days out of the week, we definitely made the most things.
From sippin' Red Stripe beer to seeing Stadium High School in Tacoma for the 1st time. Do you remember in the the movie "10 things I hate about you" the scene where Heath Ledger sings along the bleachers? Alright, click this and you'll remember.
Yeah I pretty much felt Heath's presence while I was there. It was heavy. Speaking of spiritual presences, I also got to check out the creepy "Haunted Ledges" for the first time. I heard strange noises the entire time...
Sean Harris was about to get down on this gnarly rail. He was claiming backside nose blunt the whole time but then pussed out...
I posted up and filmed massive Mt. Rainier in hoping that it'd erupt. It didn't...
Andy and I stumbled into one of the most amazing sights I've ever seen. Unlimited Salsa taste testing... yum
8.20.08 If you missed out on the Shoreline contest the other day, here's a video I made that covered most of the sweet tricks that went down.
Congrats to Dan Ching with 3rd place, Ken Takayama with the silver, and who would have guessed Cory Kennedy would take 1st place? I had a lot of fun and I hope everyone else did too.
8.14.08 'Two men in the US state of Georgia say they have found the body of a Bigfoot, the legendary ape-like creature that has been subject of decades of hoaxes.'
8.8.08 Andy and I have finally discovered the best food on the planet called "pho" We've eaten it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner a couple days in a row and simply can't get enough. I definitely reccomend this amazing theraputic food to anyone who hasn't tried it. Extra hott sauce. What is...
8.6.08 Soo I've definitely been slackin on the whole site update thing lately, it's been way too sunny out to be inside on a computer!
A lot of things have happened in these past few weeks. Some good and some bad... We'll get the bad news out of the way first... So Sparrow definitely broke his wing skateboarding last week and needed surgery soon after. Get well soon homie
On a better note, watch out Bob Ross my friend Mia Sofia Much has been drawing some pretty sweet pictures lately
7.18.08 This past week I've had the pleasure of showing some of the Hurley riders around to some of the C@L "Seattle" spots. A few of the dudes I met for the first time were Andre Genovesi, James Atkin, and Dyson Ramones. As always it was good seeing Vince del Valle and Aaron Astorga. Thanks to Aaron and everyone for letting me roll with and for buying me Starbucks and dank fish n' chips. I hope you enjoyed your trip up to Seattle and will hopefully see you all again real soon! Oh and you can check out some of the photos I took from the trip here
7.1.08 Wow the last few days have been HOTT! We've been attempting to skate but always find ourselves back at my pool drinking and flippin burgers.
Vince del Valle's Washington trip finally came to an end the other day. We were all used to having him around again and then he splits! Hope all is well back home Vince.
6.21.08 So I was skating around with the Tacoma crew and stumbled upon a Jersey Barrier. It's pretty much a perfect quick crete job, be sure to get your tricks on it before it gets blown out. Also for all you Spacecraft lovers, I found this car in the depths of Mt. Hoods forest. I thought it was so strange I had to take a closer look.
6.20.08 If you haven't heard, Shoreline skatepark is now actually a day care for your kids! It costs nothing and you can leave them there all day long.
6.18.08 So the past few weeks I've been hangin loose with Vince and one of the coolest dudes I've met named Peter Raffin. Vince came up to Seattle to skate some hometown spots so he called his homie Peter to come up from San Jose to chill and film for the Black Label video "God Save the Label." Peter had never been to Seattle so it was a good time showing him around to all the crusty Washington spots.
All the while Peter was dealing with a sliced finger that probably needed stitches and a fractured rib. He definitely made the best of everything and was always hyped to do whatever. I'll be posting a "hyphee cam" video real soon from Peters long strange trip. For now check out some photos from his trip by clicking here!
Hope you had some fun while you were up here Peter and get well sooon.
6.10.08 I finally put together some footage from the Girl/Anti Hero demo at the Bellevue skate plaza. These guys killed it! Check it out!
6.9.08 Just got back from a 5 day "Krux Kickflip Challenge tour!" We set out to make it as far south as Medford, Oregon where we hosted the first kickflip challenge contest. We then mobbed our way up the coast hosting contests in Eugene, Milwaukee, Mt. Hood, and in Portland. Along the way, we made time to skate a few of the gnarly Oregon parks and a lot of fun street spots. All thanks to Bryce Neibor at NHS for calling the shots and making this one of the best trips I've ever been on! Expect a video from the trip on the site sooon so check back!
6.4.08 Shoreline is our second home...
5.28.08 Here's a video I put together from the "King of the Plaza" contest. Cory Kennedy killed it!!

5.19.08 I recommend watching the new skateboarding flick "Baker has a Death Wish." It's well worth your time...
5.13.08 Saturday May 17th BC skate shop will be hosting an 'eS game of S.K.A.T.E. It will start at 4:00 PM at the Ravenna park and ride (next to the Ravenna flat gaps) Bring your game face and win a brand new car! No I'm only kidding. 4.3.08 whoa.
3.18.08 1 plate and 8 screws later, my collar bone is well on it's way to healing! Thanks everybody who came and visited me at the hospital.
3.6.08 Ando almost gets krooked with the help from others.
3.2.08 With the help and donations from 35th skate shop, Josh Gunnersen was well on his way to making "the perfect ledge" when he was cut short from two bozo security guards. They told Josh to destroy what he had built, or else the photo they had taken of his car would be turned over to the police. Pretty weak right? "A" for effort Josh and a huge thanks to Tony at 35th north!
2.27.08 I wanted to share one of the most epic trailers I've ever seen.
2.16.08 You can't always land your trick for cash money.
2.12.08 Sooo over the weekend Sean Motaghedi and I celebrated our shared birthday (February 9th) in Vancouver, BC and what a good time it was... We spent the rainy days at the plaza then hit the streets at night strapped with a party cam snapping photos at random. All in all it was a great way to turn of age and can't wait to go back!! till then check out the real life of the party.
